| First, let me start by saying welcome. In case you are wondering, the literal translation of Kennel vd Schutzstaffel, equates to, kennel of the guard squadron, or defense crew. This is important to know as we are striving to produce dogs of working ability, while maintaining the aesthetics of todays Dobermann. It is no secret that todays Dobermann is being tailored to the show ring, and great strides have been made in reforming this breed to a more beautiful breed than maybe even Louis Dobermann envisioned himself while walking the streets of Apolda. However, the breed has paid a high cost to become this beautiful, and correct. Much of yesterdays character has been lost in todays Dobermann, something we are striving to regain! We go to great lengths to study the lines we use in depth, carefully deciding what makes the cut and what does not. We only make breedings for specific purpose, and no, it is by no means for monetary gain. The goal is to re-establish the role of the guardian in the breed, while maintaining the elegance and correctness for our dogs to still enter the show ring. We are also striving to breed a dog with masculine and powerful phenotype, that has substantial bone and musculature. With this being said, I introduce to you, Kennel vd Schutzstaffel! |
